Livestream Services

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we live and gather as well as how we perform funeral events and education seminars.

Basic planning for a funeral event remains the same - creating an order for the service that can include, music, scripture and poems and organizing participants.

We will schedule a technical rehearsal of all participants involved in the service that can not attend.

This helps to ensure we're prepared as best as we can be to create a well run live stream of the funeral event.

Before The Event...
We don't leave anything to chance, so we test.

We Test Device Compatibility & Stability

We'll get the event participants to test the devices they'll use and make sure they have the strongest signal possible in their location.

We Prepare Pre-Recorded Videos

Ensuring all pre-recorded videos can be seen and heard.

We Test Audio Quality

Perform all music and speaking roles to test audio quality.

We Test More & Record The Event

Other tests as circumstances require.
And record as a backup to upload after the event if necessary.

Extending Our Reach

Living on such an upside-down planet since the pandemic began tests everyone's resolve and determination to create things that are “normal”. Gratefully, our first line of defense (besides getting vaccinated, following the rules and wearing masks) is humour. I can't help but smile at the rushing streams of laughter on social media, etc., to help us realize we are all in this together. Thankfully too, technology has made connecting people around the planet a few mouse clicks away. I've created online funeral events since the early 1990s, with my first funeral event from Winnipeg broadcast to Australia.

Today, we use Zoom to record and live stream funeral events for up to 100 guests. For larger events, or where there are multiple participants (officiant, musicians, video tributes, eulogists, etc.) around the globe, we will hire a professional video event company to offer support with the technical aspects to ensure everything runs smoothly.

I've been asked, “What is the same and what is unique when creating an online funeral event?” The order of service primarily remains the same - working with the officiant and participants. What has become unique is setting up to record and stream outdoors for graveside services, where you rely upon little or no WiFi.

We always record the event, so if the streaming connections weaken or fail, we can provide the event later on our website's Book of Memories page for the deceased.

You only have one chance to create a good funeral event experience.

We strive to create the very best with proven technologies, hardware and support teams to ensure your experience with us is positive and helps you grieve and say goodbye well.
