Cremation

See our blog post "Your Urn is a What? Cool!" to learn of the alternatives to buying something from us (or anywhere for that matter).

This Tequila bottle was used by a friend of Richard's when they died in the summer of 2021.

Simple wishes offer a straightforward and more affordable solution.

We take the time to listen, then provide you with the resources to arrange a cremation and perhaps a memorial event. Here's how we help you with the cremation and memorial service in or near Winnipeg, throughout the province and beyond:

  • Collecting Vital Statistics to register the death
  • Preparing Canada Pension applications for the Death Benefit and Survivor’s pension
  • Ordering the necessary Proofs of Death (funeral home and Province of Manitoba)
  • Preparing the Burial Permit
  • Removal from place of death (mileage applies outside Winnipeg)
  • Cremation (using a cardboard container or simple wood box)

We can help find a suitable urn and can show you catalogues galore.

But the best urn is one you find that has meaning to your Person.

Besides the Tequila bottle, we've seen hockey skates, tackle boxes, artillery shells, helmets, Edwards coffee cans...

Really, your choice almost limitless, provided the Cremated Remains can be held within securely.
